Christmas is here again! We love this time of year. Every year it gets more exciting as the boys grow. It has been fun to do some family traditions of our own, Caleb is good to remind us of the those we have forgotten. We have been blessed, and have so much to be grateful for. We have enjoyed living in Spanish Fork, Matt has been busy at BYU working toward his PhD degree. It will be a long road but Matt likes the work he does. He will be studying water repellent soil at the Milford Flat fire site.
Caleb is 5 and a half and started kindergarten this year and is learning to read...it really is exciting to see how he grows. Caleb is always thinking up new ideas and inventions. The other day, he made a rocket blaster out of some kitchen gadgets and a straw. It worked pretty awesome. Caleb loves working on things with his dad and is very helpful and smart. He is an active kid and will try new things and he is also very sensitive and thoughtful to his younger brother (for the most part).
Luke is growing so fast he is now 2 and a half. He says the cutest things lately. The other day, Daisy our dog licked his foot and he said in a complaining tone "Daisy's tastin' me." Luke loves horses, big trucks, cowboys and to go to the farm. If he sees someone dressed in cowboy attire, which is quite common in Spanish Fork, he will point and say "mom there's a cowboy." He is not afraid to get dirty, wet muddy or snowy. He is fun, and we are always laughing at his cute personality.
Me, well I love hanging out with my family, and getting out in the fresh air. I have also enjoyed volunteering once a week at Caleb's class, it has been interesting to see how they do things and helps me help him. I work once a week at eating disorder treatment center and enjoy that very much. But I love being a Mom the most.
We hope this season finds all of you well and our thoughts are with you. We are so grateful for the Savior and that he was born in Bethlehem. We are doing our best to remember to make Christmas about what it truly is, amongst all of the presents and other traditions. We wish you peace and joy throughout the season and all year long.
